Where To Watch The Winter Olympics
The 2026 Winter Olympic Games are taking place in Milano Cortina in northern Italy from Feb. 6 to 22, 2026, and Long Beach is getting into the spirit with special menus and watch parties across the city. Restaurants and bars are taking inspiration from the host country’s culinary traditions and creating specialty cocktails celebrating Team USA and Olympic victory. Check out our guide below and get caught up in the fun at a local viewing party!
WATCH ME! SPORTS BAR
Gather your group for a celebratory brunch and watch party to support women’s ice hockey at Watch Me! Sports Bar (6527 E Pacific Coast Hwy). On February 7 at 10 AM, California’s only bar dedicated to women’s sports will host a community watch party together with nonprofit The Empowerment Effect (TEE) as Team USA takes on Finland in the opening round of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Breakfast and brunch items will be available for purchase, and you’ll learn more about TEE’s efforts to empower young women through the sport of ice hockey.
BEACHWOOD BREWING & DISTILLING
Beachwood Brewing & Distilling (3630 Atlantic Ave) in Bixby Knolls will capitalize on the opening ceremony coinciding with First Fridays on Feb. 6 by hosting live music by Christie Huff and debuting two new specialty themed cocktails. Try the Olympic Gold, made with Coastal Gin, Lillet Blanc, dry curaçao, tiki bitters, rich cane, and lemon, topped with classic tonic and a shimmer of gold. For a spectacular finish, this drink is topped with marigold flowers and pineapple fronds. As a patriotic nod to Team USA, order the Cool Runnings, a layered red, white, and blue shot featuring house-made grenadine, cold vanilla bean cream liqueur, and blue curaçao. Both are available all weekend long.
FUEGO AT THE MAYA
Fuego at Hotel Maya (700 Queensway Dr) will be honoring the cuisine of the Winter Games’ host country Italy and its northern region with dishes like carbonade valdostana, a red wine braised beef stew with creamy polenta, and affogato made with vanilla gelato, espresso and biscotti. Specialty cocktails on the menu include the Cortina Gold crafted with Rye Whiskey, Amaro Montenegro, Tiramisu Liqueur, lemon, and honey, and the Alpine Torch Spritz mocktail with orange juice, lemon, simple syrup, and a non-alcoholic spirit topped with soda water. During the Games, Fuego will stream Olympic events live Sunday through Thursday from 10 AM to 10 PM.
